The guests of the main programme gather on the day and time agreed upon in the court yard of the Catholic Church of St. Paul and St. Peter at 16/18 Vene Street  where they are received by the programme host in a medieval costume.

The guests are welcomed and given the torches to follow the host through the dark monastery rooms in the light of torches accompanied by medieval music.

During the programme the host tells about the monastery’s history and architecture, monastic life, lost fortunes and legends related to Dominicans. At the same time the guests can admire the work of local stone masons: carved stone lintels, area stones, fragments of window pillars, etc., made of  lime stone, which has proven to be the most popular medium in the architecture of Estonia from times immemorial. A stop is made at the medieval “well of wishes” where monastery liqueur is served. The programme is often ended by Gregorian chant in the superb acoustics under the vaults of the cloister.

The price of the main programme for a guest is 15€

The minimum price of the main programme is 300€

The price includes:

The entrance ticket to the museum,

A gift for one of the participants

Guide services,

Herbal liquor for all patricipants,

Torches for the participants,

The makeing of a lucky coin for one of the participants,

Other costs, VAT, comission

The main programme inclusive of the monks’ chant is 25€ per person.

The minimum price of the programme is 500€

At the beginning of the programme, when the guests enter the monastery,  mulled wine may be served in winter, and sparkling wine in summer,  or some other services may be offered as described below. 

* The time and date of the programme may be agreed as wished by the guests, by e-mail info@kloostri.ee , all the year round.

•  The programme is conducted in different languages as previously agreed with the arranger.
•  No minimum number of guests is requested, the minimum price comprises the cost of services for 20 guests, the maximum number of guests per group can be agreed with the arranger.
